Sure you are thinking Christmas is over, New Year’s Eve is upon us so we are wrapping up the holiday season so we are past that “most wonderful time of the year” right?
Not so fast scrapbookers! It is time to start gearing up for one of the most creative and life changing experiences you can find on the internet – Lain Ehman’s Layout a Day (also commonly known as LOAD) Tonight as the clock strikes midnight and we move into 2013 registration for February’s LOAD will open and you can join in the fun! You’ll get 28 prompts, and 28 videos each day of the month. You’ll also get to join the greatest group of scrapbookers I’ve ever had the pleasure to be a part of as we all spend the month creating and sharing our life and stories and layouts.
LOAD213 will be my 10th 0r 11th LOAD – I lose track because honestly I can’t imagine my scrapbooking life without LOAD or my life at all for that matter. LOAD is a creative spark I need, Lain’s prompts always get me thinking and creating in new and fun ways, I enjoy sharing life for an entire month with the other LOAD participants and I just feel so refreshed after the month is over. Honestly the February LOADs always tend to be my favorite because after months of holiday happenings and tons of picture taking I enjoy having the time to focus on my craft and reconnect with my online friends. Also, in addition to doing a layout each day I also commit to a video each day so I guess it doesn’t hurt that February is a tad bit shorter than the other LOAD months haha!
In all honestly I just love LOAD. It is something I am so passionate about and just truly love being involved in and I love pushing myself to complete the entire month which if I may boast for just a moment I have always managed to do! Now don’t worry there is no wrong way to do LOAD – you can get so much out of the month and only complete one layout I would still consider it worth the time!
Ok so now that you know LOAD213 is on it’s way and that you can sign up starting at midnight January 1, 2013 – keep an eye on Scrapperonthestreet.com as I will be back with tips and tricks on how to prepare for LOAD and I will post some highlights from LOADs past!
