Welcome to the the February 2013 Layout a Day Blog Hop!! If you have hopped over from Alison’s blog welcome! If you are just starting here be sure to visit my fellow LOADsters as we Scrap Happier!
I have participated in many many LOADs and when I say that it is a life changing experience I’m not kidding. I’ve made some of the most incredible friends and I’ve really grown in my scrapbooking and creative process, I’ve gotten to know my style and I’ve tried new techniques and I’ve just broadened my scrapbooking horizons! Doesn’t that sound like a happy experience?? It definitely is.
Sure it sounds like a daunting task to create a layout a day for an entire month and you may be wondering how is that a happy thing? Here is how I keep it happy during LOAD:
- I make sure I have plenty of supplies especially adhesive and cardstock
- I have an open mind. I leave myself open to Lain’s prompts and I don’t get bogged down with have to’s
- I connect with my friends. Part of the fun is catching up with these fabulous ladies.
- I don’t stress about housework. It will get done when it gets done.
- I let myself go creatively. I don’t let the fear of trying new techniques bog me down.
- I have fun and a lot of it. How could it not be fun to scrapbook every day? To do what we love with the people we enjoy every day? It’s a blast so remind yourself to have one!
The LOAD gals are amazing, kind, warm, funny so of course they make it fun too whenever any of the six above reasons fall out of sync. Another huge reason I scrap happier during LOAD – my mom participates and we share this journey together!
Remember during LOAD213 I’ll be here creating layouts and recording a video a day documenting the journey so you can gauge my happiness for yourself! I can’t wait to hear what you all think!! If you want to hear more about LOAD click here.
Now that you’ve read what helps me scrap happier during LOAD head to the next gal on the list! You are in for a treat I’m sure!! Thanks for hopping with us!

Looking forward to your videos!
You are so right Heather!
I like #4! I find it hard not to get distracted by the chaos…
I choose to ignore the chaos haha!
You’re my hero, Dani!
awww thanks Joy!!
Thanks for sharing you tips to keep LOAD happy Dani! They are all great suggestions! I’m so glad we’re going to have your scrapper on the street videos again! They’ve become a highlight of LOAD!
I’m happy to share the videos with you Katrina they are so fun for me!
Dani, I love your videos you make during LOAD. That is true commitment! We get to not only see your layout, it’s like a quick visit with a friend! Thanks for doing them, as they add even more interest and fun to a mix that is already over the top with fun, learning, and creative!
Kristie I’m so glad you enjoy the videos because I really really love putting them together!
Great tips Dani! I too love that you and your mama scrap together during LOAD, no matter the miles between you! Looking forward to seeing your pages and Scrapper on the Street videos!
Connie, it is great that I get to scrap with my mama I wouldn’t trade it for the world!
Wow Dani a video a day on top of load. That is very impressive and I have no idea where you find the time.
You’ll see the times are all over the map some really early in the morning some late at night I try to work with my schedule as best I can
Can’t wait for my daily Scrapper in the Street fix!
Thank you so much Leslie!!
hi Dani! Looking forward to seeing you every day and for some daily scrapping inspiration. I’ve been in the doldrums recently so I’m hoping this kickstarts my scrappy year
Lisa H I hope we can get you out of those doldrums! I need you to inspire me!!!
Yay Dani! You are one reason that I love LOAD so much. So excited to see the new videos
Thank you so much Briel!!! I’m so happy you enjoy the videos!!
I especially like the tip about not getting bogged down by “have tos”. I never carry that with me when I’m scrapping. The thing I LOVE about LOAD is that you don’t HAVE to follow the prompts. I can pick a special something I want to get scrapped, like maybe a vacation, and go with it! Voila! DONE!
Great tips Dani!
Cheryl I can’t wait to see what you scrapbook this LOAD!!
Hey Scraper on the Streets! I agree with Kristen that the videos are like visiting an old friend. Thanks “old friend” for continuing the tradition! Can’t wait to start!
No way could I miss another month with you girls! I love putting together the videos they keep me on track and I love sharing with all of you!
Open mind & have fun – you nailed it! Can’t wait for next month!
Danielle I’m really looking forward to Feb. too!
Great tips Dani – cant wait for the scrapper on the street videos – you are simply awesome!!!!
Alison – I can’t wait to share LOAD with you!
Great take, Dani! Good advice to stay open-minded. The people have become one of my favorite parts. I started doing LOAD to complete a project and I keep coming back for my friends! Love you, Girl! Happy Birthday!!
Thanks so much Kelli!!!!
It’s so cool that you get to scrap with your mom! I loved your tips…especially the one about no have-to’s!
Thank you so much!! I love scrapping with my mom!!
Letting yourself go, creatively. I like that!! Looking forward to your Scrapper on the Street Vids! Digging this new blog, too!
