Your Story Matters Blog Hop

Welcome to the Your Story Matters Blog Hop! If you have hopped on over from Kelli’s blog welcome and if you are just starting out here please don’t miss out on visiting my ScrapHappy sisters on this very exciting day!

I am so excited to announce that Your Story Matters is now available for purchase! This amazing e-book was a collaborative effort by the woman of ScrapHappy. I am truly lucky to be a part of the ScrapHappy family, these women are my dearest friends and I would be lost without them. When asked to take part in this book there was no way I could say no!

Your Story Matters will be delivered via electronic download and includes inspiring stories and layouts from my ScrapHappy sisters! I was so excited that I got to include a story I have been wanting to tell and meaning to tell. Here is a sneak peak of one of my Your Story Matters layouts.

What's in there

The story of what’s in my purse and how much my purse weighs follows me everywhere, so it was so much fun creating this page, I kept the layout simple because I wanted to add a lot of journaling and I had fun with the paper choice because it really is a fun and lighthearted page.

I love that Your Story Matters allowed us to do just that – showcase our stories that do indeed matter. If you are interested in ordering a copy click here! Be sure to use coupon code HOP and you will save $2.00 off the $7 introductory price! The coupon is valid until January 21, 2013 so act fast!

And to add to this already exciting day we are giving away three (3) copies of Your Story Matters all you have to do is leave a comment on this post! What a fun idea…. I don’t know if I would show the contents of my purse but then I don’t actually have that much in it anyway. Bet there are a few other things that I should be scrapping about at some stage though.

  2. Lori Horvatt says:

My purse is pretty well organized, but I would LOVE do dig in my mothers purse. Hers is so heavy and has more compartments than the law should allow. Somewhere deep inside is also a black hole. She can dig forever it seems looking for something. Funny.

  3. What a fun page! Thanks for participating in the blog hop. The whole topic of Your Story Matters is so important. I hope there are many people who take it to heart and start documenting things about themselves!

  4. Joy says:

love the paper choice…wish I could see closer up some of the details in your purse. :)

  5. Danielle says:

A super-duper big thanks to you, Dani, for helping Lain put this book together! I love your page and think it’s fun to get a sneak peek into people’s personal lives. I think I may have to throw my Smash Book into my purse too ;)

  6. Beth says:

What a cute layout. My honey is always making fun of me and my purse. Oh and the things that I find it sometimes are hilarious you wouldn’t believe some of the things that my daughter puts in my purse and then I open it and laugh because I don’t always know when she has put something in my purse. Another post that has inspired me to scrap about something. I am always scrapping people but I have never scrapped things now I have a ton of things that I want to scrap!

  7. Heather D says:

I have to echo Danielle, and say Thank you Dani, too. It was so much fun to help out and submit pages. They were so fun to make!

  8. Love the idea of scrapbooking your purse! I commented on Lain’s post that my own story and the story of my children’s young years are especially important to document, since no one else knows the details like I do.

  9. Libby Wiers says:

Thanks for sharing and giving us a chance to win! I loved the idea of this topic – but my purse is so full I’d have to heap up the contents to get it into one picture… carrying my Nook around sure adds to the weight as well.

When I first started following this blog hop today, I decided to do this layout right away. So, when i go home, I will take the photo as i need to switch purses anyway. I love how you did it. I will look at it for inspiration. I think hopes, dreams and fears are also something very important to document.

  12. Janet Trapp says:

One day you will be showing this to your gr-gr grand daughter and sharing a peek into your life and be glad that you took that time. Great inspiration for me to share some of those peeks too!
Thanks for the chance to win

  18. Dani, Thanks for all your hard work, encouragement, support and all the energy you and Lain put into Your Story Matters! I am so proud to have been part of this with you! I find you such an inspiration – Oh and I love the new look of your blog too! WTG girl!!!

  19. Dana N says:

If other scrappers are like me, they document everyone ELSE’S life and not their own. I think it’s important to do a page listing little-known facts about YOU. I did that once, and even good friends were surprised by some of the things I put down. I still love that page, and I did that two years ago.

  20. Leah says:

I’d love to win, such a great group of contributors!

  21. Justasiam says:

The important thing for me right now is to include journaling on each page I do. I believe that feelings and emotions should be journaled too wherever possible too. That way I can tell the story of myself too. thanks for the chance to win!

  22. Justasiam says:

sorry…I incorrectly typed in my email address, so I willresend my comment.

  23. Hey Candy J says:

Hi Danielle, I believe every scrapper should scrap something that they are passionate about! If you don’t have a passion???? Ask God for it! He will surely give you one and it may just be HIM! Many blessings and congrats on being published.

  24. Julie S. says:

I love the idea of documenting what is in your purse! Because this represents our everyday life. And that is what I feel needs to scrapbooked! What a treasure it will be for future generations! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  25. Janet K says:

What a great layout! I say over and over that I will do this topic on a page, and after 15 years, I still have not done it.

I think I really may need this publication just for all your FABULOUS ideas and page prompts- so please place my name in the hat for a chance to win….

Now off to peek and peruse your blog and videos…LOOKS AWESOME!
    Smiles!
