Today’s layout was really hard for me but here it is!

{{{Hugs}}} to you Dani. I know what you are going through. I’ve been married to a man for 40 years now who does not have any friends. He can be congenial, if put on the spot, but he doesn’t want anyone close except for me. He spends time in the house and sleeps or sits at the computer/tv (we are retired, so he doesn’t have to go to work and interact with anyone anymore). I am the one who wants to get out, travel, visit family, get to know others, and enjoy good times with friends. What do they say? Opposites attract!
I have learned over the years to enjoy being home with my hubby–and I do need the down time and comfort, then when I want to, I get up and get going with my own activities and pursuits. I must say my husband is very supportive of my interests and will come out of his shell when he thinks it’s important to me, but we can sure be Night and Day most of the time :-) He’s the love of my life, fun to be with (most of the time), brilliant, and caring— I wouldn’t ever trade him, but I have to be my own person, too.

That is great that you journaled about that and came to some great conclusions about yourself. Don’t give up for one minute- you have NO idea when the same conclusion may ‘click’ for him as well and your bubbly, happy, ADORABLE attitude and personality will just rub off onto him….You just never know.
Great job on the layout but your honest journaling makes in a home run! Smiles~

Coming from an Eeyore, remember not everyone is unhappy being still. : ) Some of us use it to counteract the energy of the opposite personalities. It may be a compliment to you that he lets your energy shine and he sits back.
(I know – I don’t compete with my sister and sister-in-law… just let them be exciting. And I am a happy, content person.)

Thanks for posting this page. And I wish my husband would sometime get off the couch and go do stuff too… Like a little exercise.

This page has stuck with me as I saw it a few days ago in the gallery. I think you are brave for scrapping such a tough topic. Your heartfelt journaling is the star here. (HUG)
